About the Journal

ABIBISEM is a peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary academic journal, based in the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, College of Humanities and Legal Studies, University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Abibisem is dedicated to fostering critical, analytical and in-depth research in all fields relating to the study of African History, Philosophy, Culture and Civilization, as well as its relation to the wider global context. The Editorial Board is therefore committed to publishing well-researched academic, scholarly or technical articles in these areas. The Editorial Board also accepts newly-published books from authors and publishers for review.

Since its inception in 2008, the Editorial Board has successfully published seven (7) Volumes with the current one being released in December 2018. From 2019, Abibisem will be published twice a year, in June and December. Call for papers will therefore be published every February and August each year.
