Traditional and Herbal Medicine: Bridging Ancient Wisdom and Modern Health Research
The Integrated Health Research Journal (IHRJ) invites the submission of high-quality original research articles, reviews, and short communications for a Special Issue dedicated to Traditional and Herbal Medicine. This issue aims to highlight advances that scientifically validate, standardize, and integrate traditional remedies into modern healthcare systems.
Scope and Themes- Phytochemical and pharmacological studies of medicinal plants
- Mechanisms of action of bioactive compounds in traditional formulations
- Herbal medicines in chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular diseases)
- Toxicological and safety evaluation of herbal preparations
- Ethnobotanical surveys and indigenous knowledge documentation
- Herbal and traditional therapies in infectious disease management
- Standardization, quality control, and regulatory aspects of herbal products
- Biotechnological and nanoformulation approaches in herbal drug development
- Integration of traditional medicine into public health systems
- Clinical and preclinical validation of herbal remedies
- Therapeutic values of proteins and peptides from herbal and traditional sources
- Computational approaches in herbal research (e.g., molecular docking, virtual screening)
