About the Journal

Aims and scope
Kente: Cape Coast Journal of Literature and the Arts is an international peer-reviewed, open-access journal of the Department of English, University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Kente seeks to provide a platform for intellectually rigorous essays that explore novel ideas, contest existing paradigms of literary thought and interpretation, and make significant contribution to current issues and debates in literature and the arts.

The journal welcomes original submissions on literature, film, literary theory, popular culture, etc. Creative writing and book reviews are also encouraged. Special issues, proposed by guest editors, are devoted to specific authors, genres and themes.

The journal is published twice a year.
