Technology integration and employee performance in the health sector of a developing economy
Technology integration and employee performance
##article.abstract##
The integration of technology in health service delivery is increasingly recognised as a crucial factor in enhancing employee performance, particularly in developing economies. This study examines the relationship between technological adoption in healthcare settings and its impact on employee performance. The study employed a quantitative approach, an explanatory research design and gathered data via structured questionnaires from 294 health workers at the various health facilities located in Ghana. In addition, the stratified random sampling technique was employed. The data was then processed via IBM SPSS (v.26) and SmartPLS3 software. The study found that the level of technology integration partially mediated the relationship between the nature of technology integration and employee performance. Level of technology integration partially mediated the relationship between the nature of technology integration and the benefits associated with technology integration. It was therefore recommended that the management of health facilities in Ghana should improve the degree of technological integration in health service delivery as a top priority.
